Mladá Boleslav Castle (see metal trail), originally built in the first half of the 14th century, has gone through many development stages. Despite the Renaissance castle and the period of devastation after the Thirty Years\\\\\' War, the army took over the building for 200 years and converted it into a barracks. Between 1940 and 1943, Jews from the wider Boleslav area were interned here. Today it is the seat of the Museum of Mladá Boleslav and Archive.
